The name Flux Wood Designs comes from the idea of flux—a state of continuous change, growth, and evolution. To me, that’s not just a name; it’s a philosophy that shapes both my life and my work.
I believe that growth comes from embracing change. Without it, life becomes stagnant, predictable, and uninspiring. Every new skill learned, every challenge overcome, and every creative idea explored adds another layer to who we become. That mindset is what drives me as both a craftsman and a person.
Woodworking is the perfect expression of this philosophy. No two pieces of wood are ever the same. Each board has its own grain, figure, imperfections, and character. Rather than forcing every project into a rigid formula, I enjoy working with the unique qualities of each piece and allowing those natural characteristics to influence the final design. Every project is an opportunity to experiment, improve, and create something that has never existed before.
